Our recent road trip was one that we won't ever forget. With our upcoming wedding in Telluride, Colorado, at Peaks Resort and Spa (Mountain Village), we decided to make even more of a road trip out of our ability to travel. We flew into Las Vegas for our first time. After a double header weekend, 1.5 hours of sleep & 12 hours of traveling, we were beat by the time we got to our hotel. However, we powered through and soaked in as much of Vegas as we possibly could in less than 24 hours. (Those photos are at the end of this post)
From there, we got in our (horrible) rental car, & we hit the road to St. George, Utah. We drove through the beautiful Virgin River Gorge & found an adorable resort to stay at for a couple nights, Green Valley Spa & Resort. We set up a few engagement shoots in Zion National Park while we were there. Guys, Zion is by far, one of my favorite National Parks!
From there, we headed up towards Moab for a couple nights. Let me tell you. Utah is one of the most beautiful states we have ever seen. There's not a moment from our drive that didn't have gorgeous scenery. It is so underrated & definitely worth a road trip! We went to Arches National Park for a day & hiked to check out some of the beautiful Arches.
Then, for our last leg of the trip, we headed over to Telluride. We stayed in a cute little rental in Mountain Village. Telluride is pure bliss. With mountains surrounding you on every side, festivals every weekend, and some of the nicest most welcoming people, we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the town! We shot the wedding we had there, which was absolutely beautiful, & spent a day hiking & chasing waterfalls with a couple of Devin's cousins. We hiked to Cornet Creek Falls & Bridal Veil Falls. Both were phenomenal! I highly recommend visiting Telluride, hiking, & definitely checking out Mountain Village & riding the gondola.
Enjoy, xoxo
